On 23 January 1968, the USS Pueblo ship was attacked and captured by a North Korean vessel, in what became known as the "Pueblo Incident"! This banner class spy ship has been in custody of North Korea since this day!
The United States still recognizes the USS Pueblo as an active duty vessel, which makes the USS Pueblo the only American Navy ship still in custody of a foreign power.
