Once in operation, Solar Roast Coffee will be the only direct-use solar-thermal industry of its kind in the world! Solar Roast Coffee's Helios V will serve as a teaching tool as well as a demonstration of a new way to power small industry! When not roasting coffee, the Helios V will focus its light onto secondary receiver in order to generate electricity and hot water for use in the coffee shop below.

Solar Roast also plans to create a project-testing platform in collaboration with CSU Pueblo. University students will have access to a high-power solar light source for conducting research.

Solar Roast Coffee will also produce individual heliostat mirrors for companies and individuals who wish to use concentrated solar thermal for their own applications. Through collaboration and business outreach, Solar Roast Coffee will continue following its goal:
